Most inspection, recharge, and service work is handled directly from our fully-stocked service van, right on your property — no pulling extinguishers off the wall and shipping them out, and no gap in coverage while you wait.

Fire extinguisher questions

How many extinguishers does my building need? +

It depends on square footage, hazard type, and travel distance requirements set by code. We'll calculate this during a site visit rather than guess from a generic rule of thumb.

What should I check during a monthly self-inspection? +

Confirm the extinguisher is in its assigned spot, the pressure gauge reads in the operable range, the pin and tamper seal are intact, and there's no visible damage or corrosion. Log the check date on the tag.

When does an extinguisher need to be recharged vs. replaced? +

Any used or discharged extinguisher needs to be recharged or replaced before it's back in service. Age, condition, and hydrostatic test history also factor in — we'll advise which makes more sense for a specific unit.

Do I have to remove my extinguishers for service? +

Usually not — our service van carries what's needed to inspect and recharge most extinguishers on-site. A unit only leaves your property if it needs work our van can't handle there, like certain hydrostatic tests.
