Security & Burglar Alarm Systems
Custom-designed intrusion detection for homes and businesses, built around how you actually use your property — not a generic kit off a shelf.
Alarm systems designed around your property, not a one-size-fits-all kit
Every property has different entry points, routines, and risk factors — a two-story farmhouse with a detached garage has different weak points than a single-tenant office with a loading dock. We start with a walkthrough of your home or business, note every door, window, and access point, and design a sensor layout that covers the ways someone could actually get in.
That same walkthrough is where we flag the details that keep a system from becoming annoying to live with: which zones need a delay for your entry routine, which motion sensors need to ignore the family dog, and which rooms don't need coverage at all. The goal is a system that catches real problems and stays quiet the rest of the time.
- Free on-site walkthrough before any equipment is quoted
- Sensor placement matched to your actual entry points and routines
- Optional tie-in to 24/7 monitoring, cameras, and smart locks
What actually goes into the system
Every component is selected based on the walkthrough — here's what each one does and when we'd recommend it.
Door & window contact sensors
Two-piece magnetic sensors that trigger when a protected door or window opens. Available as small surface-mount units or recessed sensors installed inside the door/frame for a cleaner look on new construction.
Motion detectors
Passive-infrared (PIR) sensors that detect movement in a room. Pet-immune versions ignore animals up to a set weight (commonly around 40-80 lbs, model dependent), and dual-technology sensors combine motion + microwave detection to cut down on false alarms in trickier spaces.
Glass-break sensors
Acoustic listening sensors that recognize the specific frequency of breaking glass, so they can catch an intrusion even if the window itself is never opened — useful for large storefront windows or basement egress windows.
Smart touchscreen & keypad panels
The control hub for the whole system. Touchscreen panels support app, keyfob, and voice-assistant style control and can extend to smart locks, thermostats, and lighting; basic keypads are a simpler, lower-cost option where that's all that's needed.
Panic & duress buttons
Discreet fixed or portable pendant buttons that send an immediate, silent alert during a medical or safety emergency — commonly requested for businesses that handle cash or work alone after hours.
Battery & cellular backup
A backup battery keeps sensors and the panel running through a power outage, and a cellular communicator keeps the panel reporting to monitoring even if the internet or a phone line goes down — the two most common ways a system gets knocked offline.
Common starting points (every system is still customized)
Essential
Core intrusion coverage for a typical home or small office.
- Contact sensors on primary entry doors
- 1-2 motion detectors
- Smart keypad panel
Advanced
Full-perimeter coverage plus smart monitoring and control.
- Contacts on every exterior door & window
- Glass-break sensors + pet-immune motion
- 24/7 Alarm.com monitoring & app control
Whole-Property
Expanded, zoned coverage for larger homes, multi-building properties, or businesses.
- Everything in Advanced
- Additional outbuildings, zones, or entry points covered
- Panic buttons & multi-zone reporting
Built around 24/7 monitoring
The panel itself is designed to pair with professional monitoring, so an event doesn't just sound a siren — it reaches a monitoring center and your phone.
24/7 monitoring & dispatch
An alarm event reaches a monitoring center that can contact you and, if needed, dispatch emergency responders — even if no one's around to hear a local siren.
App control
Arm, disarm, and check sensor status from the Alarm.com app on your phone, from anywhere.
From first call to a monitored system
